I have a Little Pen Co nougat pen using exactly the same grey lavender sparkle resin as yours for the cap, section, and end finial. It closes in the same sort of... unsatisfying manner. Not quite secure, and you can't risk over-tightening it, so it feels off every time I cap. Fortunately, the nib doesn't dry out, so the seal must be adequate. Hopefully, they work on the threading a bit more, because their pens are indeed gorgeous and write well.

Hey Simone! I just swapped nibs between two of my sailors, and it was honestly super easy! I watched the Goldspot's disassembly video they have for sailors, and followed Tom Otto's instructions without a hitch.

I don't know about carbon black but Lindsey scribbles uses her pilot vanishing point with document black. She just cleans it after a certain time and reinks them again. Also papajaw makes such beautiful flower theme pens you can check them out too. Question does it mean the Earl Grey Tea and Matcha latte both I can buy at a later date since they are part of regular lineup collaboration??

Hallo Simone, ich konnte dir so gut folgen, dass ich jetzt auch kommentieren muss. Auf Deutsch:) Erstmal zu Waterman Carene: ich dachte genau das gleiche und konnte den Hype gar nicht verstehen. Ich habe diesen Füller (the Black Sea habe ich) nur gekauft, weil er bei Amazon im Angebot war und ich zum Schwarzen Meer einen besonderen Bezug habe. Ich muss sagen, der ist gar nicht so dünn, wie er aussieht; sehr robust, schreibt super gut (in Fine) und das snap cap macht ihn perfekt für den täglichen Gebrauch, wenn ich schnell was notieren muss. Zum Benu: was soll ich sagen, ich fand die sooo kitschig, fast hässlich. Dann habe ich mal das Talisman Venus's Hair für FP Day (wegen ein Video von Toxmot) und... diese Füller haben was. Und dazu habe ich mit dem Schmidt Feder meine Tinten ganz neu entdeckt, fabelhaft! Jetzt habe ich paar Benus mehr, inklusive des neuen Matcha Latte, welchen ich gerade mit Robert Oster Khakhi voll genieße. Und als ich dachte, der hier ist der letzte Benu... Fehlanzeige! Es kommt einen neuen Talisman Sandalwood...oh Mannnn! Scribo: ich habe Feel Inverno und liebe ihn, der flex F schreibt wie ein Traum (bei dem Mosto mag ich die gelbgold Details nicht). Die sind teuer, aber der La Dotta Domus ist auf meiner Liste:) Das Problem ist aber, dass ich seitdem immer nur mit flex schreiben will, es ist einfach so toll! Deswegen habe ich mir zum Geburtstag dieses Jahr der Santini Libra Ambra mit flex fine gegönnt und Oh Mein Gott! das ist alles, was ich in einem Füller suche (aber ich mag Piston-Füller), mit Abstand mein Favorit! Und zuletzt, Leonardo (ach, diese Italiener): ich mag nur die Momento Zero Serie und davon Jade ist mein Liebling. Von Momento Zero Grande 2.0 kommt aber einen Füller, the Art of Guillochè Verdigris & Rhodium, den ich mir unbedingt ansehen würde....Pleite aber geil:) Ganz liebe Grüße aus Hamburg!

1. Save up some cash and get yourself a KoP. This Sailor Boi gives it his highest recommendation. Currently ridiculously cheap on Amazon. 2. I hope you do some drawings and share them with us some day soon. There aren't that many RUclipsrs doing pen & ink.

Azeezah got me eyeing another Opus 88 as well danggit! 😂 I will also add to the Bonecrusher 7 Velma model praise. It’s a large one but the body/grip is very comfortable and smooth - the grip almost just feels like it’s giving my fingers a hug haha; one of my favorites. I think you’d really enjoy it, just from learning a little bit about your preferences.

Is there a way to verify that a pen on Amazon isn't a dupe? I've seen amazing prices there but have been afraid to purchase in the event it's a dupe.

I think you should at least put a Leonardo on your 'Try it's list. But I totally get you. I have zero interest in owning a Benu pen. 🤣

Santini has a series called Toscana that uses cartridge/converters but to be honest the nibs on the Libra collection feel more like 'home' to use your terminology. But surely worth a try! 🌸

I think that 10 or fewer pens is about the right amount in order to avoid being overwhelmed by choice. Perhaps 6 pens that are permanent keepers and 4 spaces for rotating pens in and out of the collection. Of course there is nothing wrong with having more if it suits your needs or makes you happy. I find that having too many options makes me less happy.

We seem to have similar taste in pens, and love for unique nibs. I would recommend the Edison Pen Co "Jameson", with Magna Carta #8 nib; also the Pineider "quill" nib might be of interest to you.

I love that you are considering a Bonecrusher! I will not be making it to the SF Pen Show again. Too freaking poor this year! I have tried writing with a Scribo and really liked it, but not enough to consider spending the money on it. The Waterman was gorgeous to write with! Not sure why but it was really comfortable and the nib was fantastic! I don't think it is for me though in the same way the Pelikan M405 was. Too classy business woman. That is just my brain being weird, probably. Enjoy your vacay!

Thank you for this video. I also purchased this very same pen (actually - I bought two with a <F> nib) - and set them aside. It is a gift for me and my son once he graduates high school - which isn't for another two years. So, I haven't inked it up and was curious how it wrote. Lovely. And the ink choice - so very beautiful.

This review made me buy the Platinum 3776 Century M. The end of this video brings me more joy than the pen itself. 🤣

As a previous dog trainer, make sure you don’t cater to the dog to the point where he gets separation anxiety. It’s OK to leave him for a while now and it’s actually good for him to know that you can leave and come back. Human beings are the ones who set up this problem.😊

It's so nice to do a bit of chores around the house with your chatting to keep me company 😊 I may need to get that cat PET tape as well, I've been wanting it for a while so maybe this is a sign, hehe. I resonate a lot with what you said about getting irritated when you have no time to yourself. I have that too. I just need some time to just play with my pens, stickers, write a little here and there - just to ground myself again and feel like myself really. Hope you have a good week!

I have such an emotional atachment with my GO saphir. It was my first ever fountain pen! I took it in EF, sinced all the ballpoints I used up to this point were all gigantic. I carried that thing everywhere and I do mean it! And... Gosh did it take some abuse! I accidentally slammed the tipping material on a table once and I think I permanently messed up either the tine alignment or just the whole iridium tip! It has been scratchy as hell since then but... ...I kinda want to fix it up and keep it around. Does spending money on repairs for this thing nancially irresponsible? Ye. Will I do it anyway? Ye. It's a good writer when in good condition, and again, there'as the emotional atachment hehe... Aside from that, it's a pretty resilient workhorse! The thin body that we both thought would shatter like a Preppy is still intact on mine, and aside from needing lube it has zero issues filling. I also love the fact that, although less easily than an Eco, that it's still possible to disassemble it and self-service it like any other TWSBI pen! The metal part that gudes the pston can be unscrewed as well as the push button that retains the spring. And voilà! You have access to the ink chamber! The nib and feed are frinction fit like an Eco, so you can pull them out too! I've had it for more than 2 years now and it sits happily next to my Progear King of Pens in my pen case! Reminds me of where I started! When I'll get this nib up^in shape, I'll happily start using it again like I used to!

Those last two Sailors are real winners.

I personally find that Sailor’s music nibs are not the best. And they also have only 1 slit instead of the 2 that differentiates a music nib. I definitely prefer the Platinum ones over Sailor’s. Having said that, I still have fun with my Sailor MS nibs; it just has to be a day I have patience and time for play with my pens 😊. I would suggest for you to buy a regular PG classic black in the nib size you wish your habanero had. Although it depends vastly on where you get them, a classic black PG can be found at amazing deals, especially if you get it second hand. You can still play with your MS nib in the black pen and have your habanero with the nib size you want. Unless you are willing to have a special grind done on your MS nib. But as you mentioned you like the nib just not on the habanero, and you also like this particular pen as well, maybe getting - basically - a regular sailor nib could be another option. And yes you were out of your mind for convincing yourself you don’t need the KOP pen😂 Come on!😊 That’s like one of the best out of the box nibs out there. I love my KOPs.. and the B nib is just fantastic every time I write with it ❤ İt’s already in your collection; I would highly recommend you keep it. There aren’t many options (none in my opinion) that can fill a KOP nib’s place

I remember your struggles with Yozakura because I had a sample that I was struggling with as well. I really like the ink but it was a challenge finding the right pen. I am glad to see it worked in the Safari. I am tempted to get a bottle now to put in my Lilac Al-star with a gold nib. Heck, maybe I will get the Blackberry Safari that I have been denying myself as well. 😂

Good to know that Venus Hair doesnt post. I usually post, unless the pen looks better unposted. I just have TSBI'S and Metros, but I guess the time has come for me to start buying more expensive pens; i'm sure you know how that goes. I collect all kinds of stuff so becoming a pen addict was inevitable. At least i use the pens, unlike the other things I hoard (collect). It must be a primordial hunter instinct, because searching, or "hunting," for things to add to a collection is the fun part.

I also have the slightly different teal inks all over the place. They are my favorite. I just can't help it. I feel like it's harder to do the same thing with purple inks though. Why do so many very legible jewel toned purple inks have to have shimmer in them? Thanks for sharing!

I changed my dog food and her flatulence became a lot less . You want to give a dog something with a lot less grain in it I know the less expensive dog food can make dogs fart. My Doberman had the worst.😂

Citrus black is an iron gall ink. But it is safe for fountain pens. Basically rusts before your eyes (ferrous to ferric iron) Citrus black is a favorite ink of mine.

The dominant industry reminded me of a stronger / darker celadon cat 😊

I removed the internal stopper for my 823 and now I love it much more! Agree that it and my LAMY 2000 are my favorite pens. They both just work and write well.
